The tenth! Mathematical! Yours!

The 10th Caucasian Mathematical Olympiad has commenced at Adyghe State University. A total of 158 schoolchildren from 14 foreign countries and 20 regions of Russia are participating in this prestigious event. Notably, teams from Kyrgyzstan and the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic are represented in the Olympiad for the first time. The competition will unfold in two rounds using a mixed format. Winners will be categorized into two age groups: the junior league (grades 8-9) and the senior league (grades 10-11).
The jury and problem committee for the Olympiad consist of esteemed Russian mathematicians and educators, including coaches from the Russian national mathematics team, as well as gold and silver medalists of various years from the International Mathematical Olympiad and members of the jury from the All-Russian School Olympiad in Mathematics. Additionally, the Olympiad will feature open lectures and meetings with experts in the fields of robotics, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
Prominent figures such as Andrey Raigorodsky, the scientific director of the Caucasian Mathematical Center at ASU and the director of the Phystech School of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at MIPT; Alexey Savvateev, a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences and a professor at ASU; Russian philanthropist and entrepreneur Ilya Chekh; and renowned scientist Aik Sargsyan will engage with participants, presenting mathematics in an enjoyable and captivating manner.
An educational program tailored for accompanying teachers will also be conducted. This program includes meetings with Nikolay Andreev, the head of the laboratory for the popularization and promotion of mathematics at the Steklov Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, attendance at a master class led by Nazar Agakhanov, the chairman of the central subject and methodological commission for mathematics in All-Russian secondary schools, and participation in a round table discussion titled "Caucasian Mathematical Center - A Territory of Cooperation."
The closing ceremony of the Olympiad is scheduled for March 19 at the ASU concert hall, where the names of the winners and prize recipients will be announced.
