As part of the 11th Caucasian Mathematical Olympiad, participants participated in dynamic and engaging sessions, including master classes and lectures delivered by distinguished scientists, International Mathematical Olympiad winners, and prominent science communicators from Russia and the Republic of Armenia.
Schoolchildren participated in a series of engaging open scientific lectures delivered by esteemed researchers from Adyghe State University, along with distinguished guest speakers. This event provided a valuable opportunity to explore the applications of mathematics across various disciplines, including biology, physics, sociology, and philosophy.
On the evening of March 16, students engaged in an enjoyable and informal discussion on mathematics with distinguished experts Andrey Raigorodsky, Scientific Director of the Caucasus Mathematical Center at ASU and Director of the Phystech School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics at MIPT, and Alexey Savvateev, Leading Researcher at the Caucasus Mathematical Center at ASU and Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
March 17th, a lecture was delivered by Alexander Sergeev, Director of the National Center for Physics and Microbiology and esteemed member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. This event is part of the "Time of Science" initiative. In addition, school students had the opportunity to participate in a session with the Olympiad Coordinating Council and jury members, during which they asked questions and gained insights into the processes of problem formulation and Olympiad organization.
